I believe many (if not everyone) was once a fan of LJS.. Crispy fries, good iced lemon tea.. and oh.. the fish paired with tartar sauce.. There was the problem of rubbery chicken, but no one goes to LJS for chicken yes?
I just went to the outlet near the old Capitol cinema with Candy (good), the one opposite St Andrew's Cathedral. And boy did I have a memorable time there (bad),
The chicken ain't so bad now.. but the fish...
Let's just say I've tasted better fish in my camp cookhouse than these fried styrafoam chops I was served today.
LJS Fish and Fries. Looks good from here yes?
Here's a close-up of the fish. All hairy. Note the oil.
HAIRY!
$0.50 extra for salsa cheese cheese fries! Its just an extra bloody cup of cheese dip. For Fifty-effing-cents.
Remember the days when they used to give tartar sauce readily if not always? Now you have to drag your plate to the counter, grab attention of a counter crew, ask for tartar sauce and have it squirted indignantly on your plate.
This is the corner of my 2nd piece of fish, tucked under the 1st piece.(already eaten) I thought the color was a bit weird in the middle, slightly darker.
Mystery solved. A whole cornerful of battered air. Great deal huh.
The ice lemon tea.. the only redeeming factor. Only because its a product of Seasons, not LJS.
That's the last time I'm visiting you, Johnny.
Welcome.

Everything is gonna be alright. (Really?)

My finger on the trigger or,
Me face down across your floor?"
